1. Agreement to Terms‍

By booking a tour with Lapintuntu Oy, operating as "The Lapland Standard" ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all bookings made through our website (www.thelaplandstandard.com) or any affiliated booking platform.

2. Booking and Payment

‍All tours must be paid for in full at the time of booking to secure a reservation. We accept payments through Stripe, as integrated into our booking system. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received. Upon confirmation, you will receive a booking confirmation email.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation by the Customer:
  • To cancel a booking, you must notify us in writing at janne@thelaplandstandard.com.
  • Cancellations made thirty (30) days or more before the scheduled tour date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than thirty (30) days before the scheduled tour date are non-refundable.
• Cancellation by The Lapland Standard:
  • We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to safety concerns, extreme weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • In the event that we cancel a tour, you will be notified as soon as possible, and you will receive a full refund of the payment made. We are not liable for any other expenses you may have incurred.

4. Customer Obligations

• You are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting point on time.
• You must follow the instructions of our guides at all times to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
• You must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions that may affect your participation in the tour at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to any participant who is believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who behaves in a manner that is disruptive or dangerous to themselves, others, or the environment. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.

5. Limitation of Liability

‍Participation in outdoor tours involves inherent risks. Lapintuntu Oy is not liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss, whether direct or indirect, resulting from participation in our tours, except where caused by our gross negligence.

6. Governing Law‍

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
